All current Microtech ECUs can be programmed using a laptop PC. All that is required is the PC software and an inexpensive Laptop Adapter dongle.

Tuning using the laptop is much easier and potentially more accurate as it allows the tuner to view more information on the screen at one time than on the handset. The 2D and 3D graphs allow the tuner to see the shape of the map curves which helps to show up abnormalities in the maps and makes it easier to estimate fuel / ignition values for areas of the maps yet to be tuned, this greatly speeds up the tuning process.
